CAS CARDS..

Let me make this really quick...As you all know I along with two of my friends host Swaps among Indian crafters and we do encourage international swappers if any of the India crafter is ready for it...For the month of July we had the theme as CAS Cards with the least use of white and not a one layer card..and here is what I made...

COLOR CONCEPTIONS NEW CHALLENGE BLOGHOP!

                                  Challenge 1 :  A new Beginning and use Bakers Twine.

Here is a sneak peak of my inspiration for the challenge. Full view of the project in  Challenge blog!

This is the first time am working with so much Baker's Twine around me and so much white and that was my biggest challenge but must say I had loads of fun .....as the challenge goes  "New Beginning" ...I have incorporated a very open ended sentiment "FROM MY HEART"....could be a new beginning to a love story...a new friendship....or ending a past and starting afresh....whatever be the reason...its straight "From MY Heart".....

Invites for My Wonderful Dahling Ananya Kaho

My nieces and nephews are my life....and when my sister in law asked me to do the birthday invites for Ananya and Lavanya (Kaho and Mio -their Japanese names) ..I was more than happy and excited...

The brief was simple..just over the phone call..."I love all princesses and fairies...and my favourite colour is pink" (4years old that she is ...she is a typical girl) and I could here someone snatch the phone to say..."Jasmine  and purple" (2 years but far more specific and focused than the elder one)...the younger ones invite as still in making so sharing Ananya's for the time being!!!

The Cinderella  is a stamp stamped on Brustro and coloured with Tombow Markers....

The Wreath is a Memory Box die cut ...

Its a slider pop up card....in the standing state...

The invitation details in the pull out tag behind and in the front there is space for a personal message to be written by my brother in sister in law....

The Invites will be used in Hong Kong during the month of January....had to do it in advance thanks to my wedding....and am crunched for time now...:(

Anything But A Card at Tuesday Alchemy

Hi Friends,
I know am not too active on the blogland currently but thanks to Tuesday Alchemy I shall catch up with all of you every week.....with my wedding preparations going full swing I really have no time for crafting so am happy with this every week connect that I can do with you all for the next month or two....

And now without much ado lets see what I made for my DT inspiration for the challenge...

I get excited with every project but its really fun to put on the thinking cap to try something other than cards and scrapbooks....I have done this memo board (bulletin board/notice board) before for my exhibition but didn't have good photos plus that was my first time so that was purely experimental and impromptu...while this had a planning and proper design done....

This is how one can put the project to use....and it also has space to stick a photograph  ....

While I made one for the DT post ....I could not stop with this and ended up making two more...Have a look....

Hi Folks....I am sorry for this delayed post.....rushing from a hurried trip and Diwali Season in India is a real bad timing...doe snot leave you with any time at all...but still "Happy Diwali" to you of you.....and heres what we have at TA this week....its Anything Goes...so that ensures that you have less options/reasons to avoid the challenge and not join us.....

We had to make 10 3x3 note cards....and I decided to do 3inches diameter with a scallop circle spellbinder die....

Thanksgiving .......

In India, its time for Diwali almost but most of the West World will be soon celebrating Thanksgiving!!! This post of mine is showcasing the GDT project for Eureka Stamps New Challenge

I was not too sure of the Thanksgiving feel as I have never seen or celebrated it....Halloween is still catching up in India and I have been through the spooky feeling while visiting my Brother in Japan and Hong Kong so was easier for me to do cards related to that.....none the less I gave it a shot though the DT was kind enough to say that I could do a simple thank you  card!!! 

The digi is from their own Eureka Stamps Store...  which has been printed on Fabriano CS and colored using Tombow Markers....and then I fussy cut it....

I took a Bazzill CS and stamped the Hero Arts BG stamp with Brilliance Starlite Silver...mounted it on a Fabriano CS ....My idea was just to keep the card bright ...colourful and festive....

Beyond Grey Challenges#20-Sticth It!!

If you have noticed my sidebar you will see I made it to the Top 3 at BGC #18....and as a result was offered a chance to be their GDT....so here I am with the GDT post and my creation for the challenge...

This week at Beyond Grey Challenge, its Sew Happy Stitching Challenge....all you are to do is have some real stitching (Hand or Machine) on your card /LO....super easy!!!

And here is what I made......

Keeping in mind the season I thought of a more contemporary  design .....and am not a stitching person at all except for a few projects I did at school and some totes and treat bags !!!

The flowers are cut outs from a pattern paper and stuck and some popped up on dimensionals....a self adhesive fabric tape to make more colorful......and a sweet sentiment to match the design!!!

The trees are hand stitched (back stitch done with brown embroidery threads) and the red bling is added to signify leaves.....

 I personally love the array of colors that the card brings out and my first attempt with stitching on paper!!!
