Its Tuesday Again:Anything Goes At Tuesday Alchemy

Its Tuesday again and while you go through this post I would have changed my status from single to "married" and will be on the train to my new train!!! Finally, the chaos and planning is over and a new life has started.....

Now coming to the DT  job!!...We at Tuesday Alchemy have the theme Anything Goes this week so just share whatever you made from cards to scrapbooks ...so candles to mixed media ...anything and everything....

For this week our sponsor is Sassy Studio Design

Now take a look at what I did for the challenge.....

Loads of textures and layers added....

Used my Kellogg's Box to make the tag...painted it with acrylic paints and added gauge bandage cloth with  Mod Podge to give textures...and again painted it...added a net on one side and colored again...gosh this really tried my patience for you have to wait for each layer to dry and then go to the next one...Phew!!!

Closer look to spot the layers and textures....

Lower half....

Upper half....

I guess one can see the layers better in this pic.....This Tag was sent to a friend at Ireland for a Tag Swap at 2 Shabby Sisters Studio

Hope you all like it and do hop to the Tuesday Alchemy blog and share your creations with us....The other DT's have also done a wonderful job at their DT projects so do leave them a line of love :)

Anything But A Card at Tuesday Alchemy

Hi Friends,
I know am not too active on the blogland currently but thanks to Tuesday Alchemy I shall catch up with all of you every week.....with my wedding preparations going full swing I really have no time for crafting so am happy with this every week connect that I can do with you all for the next month or two....

Coming to the new challenge on Tuesday Alchemy ....we have "Anything But A Card" this week ..so think...think ...think...and any project of yours other than a Card is most welcome ....and our sponsors this week are

1. Di's Digi Download

2. Hugs 4 the Heart Designs

And now without much ado lets see what I made for my DT inspiration for the challenge...

I get excited with every project but its really fun to put on the thinking cap to try something other than cards and scrapbooks....I have done this memo board (bulletin board/notice board) before for my exhibition but didn't have good photos plus that was my first time so that was purely experimental and impromptu...while this had a planning and proper design done....

This is how one can put the project to use....and it also has space to stick a photograph  ....

While I made one for the DT post ....I could not stop with this and ended up making two more...Have a look....

A sister themed memo board.....with load of Itsy Bitsy Blooms and bright colors....

Another Family themed Memo Board...

All three together.......Hope you like ...Do drop by the Tuesday Alchemy Blog to see what the other DTs have done and leave them some love....do join in with your creations and share with us for the Anything But A Card Challenge

A Birthday Gift

My cousin and me are pretty close friends though she is way elder to me and this is one project I made to gift her on her birthday ....these are MDF products from Kaisercraft which I got from Aditya's store....I bought it from him way back in April I guess but due to my busy schedule ..could not try my hands on that...I finally found time and this is what I have come up with......

I have painted the entire MDF drawer with Acrylic Red paint and the knobs below for key chains with a mix of dark green and white to get the light green to match the PP I have used for the drawers!!!

I have used scraps of PP that I had over the cardboard drawers which have been secured using Glossy Accents and washi tape ...which is evident on the borders....they also give a nice definition to the edge I feel!!!

I have used some facy buttons from Cheap Jack, Mumbai to make them the knobs for the drawers ...added a Itsy Bitsy fly ...and some glitters....

My Dream Piece for My Room

As a kid, sorry ...that's a real mistake  ...I think even now...am a stationary freak...I mean age has nothing to do with it...by stationary I not only mean ..pens or diaries but also stuff on walls...be it storage related...decor related....or just a handy post it page...anything!!! I was hardly allowed posters on walls (my mom was too strict and did not want me to spoil "her" wall...am still figuring out why was it called "her" wall!!) ...which I would have otherwise loved to just showcase my art and sometimes my dreams and aspirations and inspirations!!!

None the less I was happy to go through a magazine and finally not only find the inspiration but also the zeal to try and venture into something new and create something which was not only fun to use...but also fun to make!!!  I discovered the fun of "Memo Boards"/"Bulletin Board" ....

Am really sorry for the bad picture quality but I was in a hurry ...the light not being on my side and I had to get them ready for packing to dispatch!!!

I took some canvass...painted them with acrylic paints ....took a cardstock ..punched a border on one side stuck it up....and embellished it with flowers and a tag....so that the person who owned it could put a photograph of herself/family or friends and write her name /occasion /event to personalise it ...
If you see I have added to colorful wooden clip with the help of glue gun to make them sturdy...one can fix their to do lists...home work lists....shopping list ..anything to the clips and they would hold it tight....The blooms are from Itsy Bitsy!!!

Here's another girly one that I did in the similar fashion!!!! The swirls and flourishes are thick chipboards from Itsy Bitsy...so is the butterfly...which has been misted and colored with Spritz Copper Shimmer from Aditya's store...both of them my favourite online stores ....and Aditya is the most beautiful and wonderful human being I have ever interacted with....Not only is he prompt with his replies ....he is someone who cares to pack the products so well that you are sure they would reach you without a scratch!!!

After doing two girly boards ..I did a slightly boyish board with spaceships as the theme!!! The clouds are thick chipboards again from Itsy Bitsy....colored with white acrylic paints and misted with shimmer that the camera has not capture at all...:( sigh!!!

So what do you have to say....aren't these handy....not just handy but once up on the wall....am sure they would serve as a beautiful wall decor!!!

Birthdays.....Phew!!!!

How often do you forget to wish people on their birthday??? Well with the onset of new technologies that have developed around us...am sure its hard to forget but still am sure for a few close ones in your list...its  a little more than just wishing and getting away with it!!!

Planning a birthday surprise is not an easy job and keeping track on things is still far from being easy!! Lists everywhere ...folded into a diary...into a book....looking for where did you leave the last list that you made at 2 in the night....is what I end up with....How about you??? Let me know if you are more organised and can handle this better...please pass on the tips...I need it urgently!!!

Well till then, I found myself a solution....and a rather colorful one  just to keep up my spirits ....and give me that boost every time the pressure knocks me down.....(Colors work wonders for me)...I made myself a BIRTHDAY ORGANISER/PLANNER!!! yayayaya...my first handmade organiser!!!  Its a 6x8 size...Also I feel this is a workable idea for kids actually I made it for them in my exhibition....hehehe

I multiplied this for my exhibition though ....so the inside was simple due to lack of time!!! But before I show you whats inside....there's a confession!!!

I would not  lie when it comes to the inspiration part of it.....yess it knocked at my door when I made my way through the shelves of the very famous "Archies Store" .....have a look...

That's the pocket ....they have...and they have used up two sheets of paper!!! and have tabs for each month.....

This is where the basic idea stepped in...but the style or technique they have used is very different...and I would like to try this one someday....

I, of course used just a 12x12 sheet and folded them to get similar pockets.....a tutorial that I saw on the famous "youtube"channel....and the results where awesome...so its a mix of two ideas merged into one to adapt and create my own planner/organiser!!!

As you can see, I ended up with three pockets per page....you will understand it better after the next photograph....so just hold on

If you see above the January and the February sides are made with one single 12x12 sheet folded up....yess ....so I have a half pocket on the January side....a half pocket on the February side and a middle common pocket...so that comes to three pockets per page.....wow....enough space to store up a lot of things....guest list...shopping list etc....for every month separately ...and a few birthday cards in the common pocket.....is'nt it amazing!!!

I die cut and printed the months....and popped them up on a dimensional....since I used up my Echo Park Paper stack and they as you can see are damn colorful....I thought adding more embellishments would make it crowded!!!  However, if I had the time I would love to  add tags into to....but maybe I will give it a thought now....have a look at the other pages!!!

I have used up left over cardboard for the front and back covers....and covered it up with handmade paper and the insides with Echo Park paper....and binded it up with binder rings....now as it can be opened up thanks to the rings....one can add up a lot of extra pages as and when required....one can have a stack of plain papers punched and put in the end...so that one does not have to look for paper for notes to be jotted down and then they can be easily removed to accommodate in the respective pockets.....nice idea is'nt it???....actually one can add a lot of other things as well...but that I leave to you guys to figure it out for yourself...and use your own imagination and creativity for the same!!!

And I would love to hear your ideas being shared here with me.....I believe in sharing ideas for that helps us grow....

Girlfriends

Hey all...I know I have been missing from the blogland for way too long now...have been really busy with my exhibitions and happy to announce that it rocked...Bangalore received my products with a real cosy and warm heart ....you can view the photographs of the exhibition here.

Today am here to share a chipboard mini album which is custom made for a client with the friendship theme

The circle that you see can be used for a photograph...didnt want any title on the cover page just a photograph of the two friends...

Space for a short message..

This album actually had my brains racking for I wanted hidden tags but with a twist so I stamped small images and popped it up with dimensionals over the photomat so that it could act as a pull out for the hidden tag and also acted as an embellishment !!!

I love that shoe stamp a lot!!

I love the way the tags are color coordinated with the PP

Am not great with layering but I tried (a better view can be seen below) and I love that doodled flower stamp...one of them is a pull out for tags ...you see :)

Those cute roses were a RAK from my friend Laura Foster ..have bought a lot of goddies from her through her etsy shop but she seems to have vanished from there and am missing her :(

I didnt quiet like the title Fishy Tales which the client suggested but my friend Tee said why not change it to Fish Tales ..Client bhi khush and me too khush...basically these tags are for all the gossips every girl has with her bestie or gang of girlfriends....some secret incidents that only they shared!!!

I love the Tombow markers....thanks Tee for getting them for me :)..they really added the glamour to the fishes!!!

 My attempt at layering...

 Finally all the tags :)

Hope you like the project ...do leave your comments... they help me improve and create better!!!
