Recipe Challenge at Incy Wincy

My stint with Incy Wincy ends with this challenge....I could not believe that an entire month just went by ...it almost seems it was a matter of last week that Chris contacted me to be a GDT at Incy Wincy...I was not only happy but honoured to be offered this post and that too for a month!!!

I have loved each and every challenge that they have come up with and working on them has been a real fun roller coaster ride for me....from thinking of ideas to executing those ideas and realising in the middle that some things need to be altered in order to get the best results!!! Its been a truly enriching learning experience for me as a Crafter...Okie I guess enough of emotional out-pour has happened so lets get on with the task at hand....

This week at Incy Wincy we have a RECIPE challenge- 4 different papers, 3 brads, 2 ribbons and 1 image.

The image has been sponsored by our DT girlie, Nikki, who owns LIMITED RUNS .

 This was my first stint with a Recipe challenge and believe me I have loved this one the most.....the idea took place in an instant but executing it...phew!!! It took me ages I thought....I was just not getting satisfied with the colors....the size of image....and embellishments ...but am happy I finally managed.....

My Recipe: 4 Different Papers- 1 background paper, 2 flowers are handmade with 2 different papers, 1 the brown shiny paper for stem.
3 Brads- 2 bird shaped brads, 1 heart shaped brad
2 ribbons- 1 as a bow on the flower stem, 1 as the leaves
1 image- mini butterfly set from Limited Runs

I made a Clean and Simple (CAS) sliding card based on the theme.....

 Okie if you thought that was it...NO, there's more...you forgot I mentioned its a sliding card!!!

 TADA....thats how it looks when pulled out and opened up completely.....

Top view...the scooter image and all sentiments are Paper Smooches Stamps ..stamped on brustro and colored with Tombow Markers ...the scooter image has been fussy cut and popped up on the fold...

Incy Wincy Mondays-Sketch Challenge

Today its Incy Wincy Mondays.....yayyaya ....and with the new day.... a new challenge !!! This week we have a sketch challenge......the sketch is made by Sheryl (DT at Incy Wincy) and Our sponsor this week is the lovely Pink Gem Designs with a prize of 3 single digis.

 We were given the opportunity to use an image from the  Pink Gem Designs

And here is my take on the sketch .......

I made my first Circle Easel card !!! I have known how to make most of the multifold cards but never ever given it a try except the Pop up Cards ...so I thought the best time is NOW!!! Its my niece's birthday, so this is for my cutie pie....

The digi has been printed on a Fabriano Cardstock and colored with Tombow Markers. It has then been given a fussy cut and with the help of a dimensional popped on to the card. The Card base has been cut using the Spellbinders Die ....

I decided upon a gift box....as the gifting season in India has started with the onset of the festival of lights "Diwali"....Its time my family starts packing small items not just for family but friends all over....

The image has been colored with Tombow Markers and sprinkled with Frost Shimmer...

The tag is stamped and sprinkled with Golden Shimmer...

Bears...Bears...Bears....

Did you all see the "I am a winner" at Incy Wincy Designs-Make a Bookmark Challenge  badge??? Well that also gave me an opportunity to interact with Chris who happened to offer me a chance to be a Guest DT at their challenge blog for a month!!!yayayyaya...and am super excited with my first post for them.....

The theme of the challenge this week is BEARS, BEARS, BEARS.  And the sponsor is The Stamp Fairy with a prize of $10 Gift Cetificate for the shop.

Well I was given an option to choose between a few images to play with and could choose anyone from that for any project that I could think off!!! Wooow....must say they are a pretty flexible team to work with...who offer you enough room to put on your creative caps and think of what you can offer to them in return....

So this is what I created with my Stamp Fairy image....have a look....

I have made a treat bag using the image....the treat bag base is Bazzill Textured Cardstock....the image is printed out on a white Fabriano CS and then die cut...coloured with my Tombow Markers....the green strokes that you see on the background is done using my Staedtler watercoloring pencils ....

The top border punch is Fiskars Border Punch-Treading Water

After filling the colours with my Tombow Markers I have sprayed the entire image with Spritz Frost Shimmer...am not sure the camera has captured it too well....
