Travalogue: a keepsake for the people on the go!!!

I love to travel and when the offer to make a scrapbook for one travel freak comes, I obviously could not say a "NO"....

Its made with no particular style-in short a total funk and freaked out album following no style definition and no technique restrictions ...nor a color combo etc....I have just gone crazy with whatever I thought I wanted to do and what I thought I wanted to include!!!

The first page is a pocket page with the ticket pouch...and the second page is for the map of the place traveled or say a quick click of the arrived airport or the hotel checked into....the first at the place being visited basically!!!

The pouch is big enough to store the flight/train tickets/boarding passes and itinerary....

The inside of the ticket pouch and the tag hidden behind the photo mat for writing about the new place!!!

Third page with a single photo mat and the next one for either a multi photo set up (can accomodate 3 mini pics) or can be used to write down what one is expecting in the  travel...what is he/she looking forward to...

More space for photos and journalling....the pink tag can be removed and attached back again. The blue tag is totally hand stamped...

The other side of the tag (again stamped)...the next page is a 3 pocket page of one 12x12 page to contain brochures/entry tickets or any small knick knacks or even bills...space to write what the pocket page contains is also given.

The Blue small page is actually a handmade mini envie and a pic can be put over it ....

The envie could contain small memorabilia .....and the next page is again a multi photo set up page with a tag for journalling.

A single picture page with a tag behind (see the picture below) and the next is a tag...

 Another 3 pocket page for another set of brochures...maps....postcards...stamps etc...

The back of the envie and the next page is a OHP sheet on which I have stamped the border stamp to create a frame....

A list of TOP 10 highlights of the trip-be it shopping areas....places to visit...eating joints etc...but the most exciting or most interesting Top 10 picks !!! The page is done with dylusion inks and then stamped with speech tags.

Last page to write a concluding note on the entire trip!!!

All tags provided as=re not necessarily for journalling...one can stick photos on them also...all pages are multi purpose depending on the need to the end user!!!

Album Galore 2

Firstly, let me thank all of you who registered for the Scrappy Swap and hope that all have received their respective partner mails from my end...in case someone has not please let me know ASAP....:)

Now lets come to this post ....I did another Album on "First Anniversary" on order ...and my challenge was to try and keep it as different from the first one as anyone would and second to try things that would be new for me as a crafter !!!

I had a tough time designing the cover pages!!! phew!!! And I love that border punch from Lulupu-The Craft Lounge  on the extreme left.....and my Alphabet stamp set from CTMH in those banner shapes ..

I put the couple's photograph inside the fold card and as you can see put around 6-7 small tags for personal messages....add some border punch again from Karuna's store to give a house like feel with the sentiment "Bless this Nest"....something essential for a newly wed couple ...:)

 The second wedding photograph has been covered with a nice silver vellum sheet...to give that wedding feel....and for the first time I tried my hands with shimmer mists from Aditya's Store...he has some really amazing stuff in his store and am a regular there ...some real affordable prices for a lot of products and yess I do trouble him a lot with a whole lot of mails with queries and he has some patience to answer all of them ...that too with great prompt ....Thanks Aditya

Have kept this space as simple as possible as I wanted the photograph  to speak for itself!!!

 Again the mist from Aditya's store ....here i first stamped a heart swirl and then sprinkled water over it ...then stamped it with the tag stamp and the sentiment and then sprinkled the shimmer mist...yess that did wash out the sentiment a bit but that was not an issue ...I traced it back with a sketch pen of the same colour as the ink...and believe me I loved the washed out effect a lot...

 I like this colorful page ...as I felt Kavya was a very chirpy and bubbly girl even after marriage...so have kept it bright and vibrant...

Yess I tried the telescopic technique here for the second photograph but with only one layer ....

As this was the vacation and trip page..I knew one wants to add a lot of experience and anecdotes related to the trip so decides to add the photographs through a mini wallet card and lot of space beside to write the experience ....
