Album Galore 1

Hellos...everybody...hope you guys are registering soon for the Scrappy Swap and are also spreading the word across to your friends....more the people ...more the fun...so spread the word fast and soon as the registrations close on 17th March!!!!

Have not shared a lot of my projects on my blog due to lack of time and busy schedule...but today I took out time to finish this long pending task at hand!!! heheheh....never mind I just hope you all like it and let me know your opinions on the same!!! This was my first "First Anniversary Album" order....have a look ...

This is the cover page ....have kept it simple and in tandem with the wedding feeling ....

The pages as you progress ...you will notice every page has a different feel and mood to it....my aim was to hold true to the feelings and emotions depicted in  the photographs...hope I was able to do so....:)....

I love  this page for its PP layered effect....

A Close Up....enough tags to write a personal message

The inside view .....

This tag here actually gave me ideas to create Bookmarks on the similar theme ....

I love this page too for the cute birds and the house stamp with the sweet words "Bless This Nest"....

Lovely photograph and I like the feel...thanks to the maple punch too..hehehehe...

Am in love with this PP from DCWV.....have a similar one coming up in the next Album....hehehhe

Ohhh my favourite charms ...hanging around....

This page has got a lot of appreciation from my friends on FB and my fans on my FB Page....I guess they got mesmerised by the color scheme and the feel...

As this was a winter time travel of the couple....I used crotchet flowers ...hehhe I know maybe a stupid and silly way of symbolising the winters ...but whatever....

I tried doing a round trip...I mean cover page with their wedding and the last page summarising the complete one year ....:)

Below you can see the binded version and the combo pages :)

Hope you all liked it....Cya till my next Post...

A Scrappy Swap!!!

Are you bored of the same old scraps in your scrap file??? Bored of using the same PP....Bored of seeing those unused Die cuts, ribbons and buttons lying around with you for months and years......

Well here's something for you then....

A Scrappy Swap....well as the name suggests its about scraps.... and its of course a swap.....

Now for rules

1. The PPs you send should be of good quality.....something on the lines of  DCWV, Echo Park, Paper Mania, American Crafts etc which can be put to use ....

2. A min measurement of 3X3 PP is compulsory ...anything less than that should be avoided....a larger sheet is more than welcome and upto you!!!

3. CS of min 3X3 again....anything less than that should be avoided....a larger sheet is more than welcome and upto you!!!

4. Apart from PP's and CS's one can send Embossed sheets (min 4x4), Die cuts, Buttons, Ribbons (min 4"), Punch Crafts (properly cut..no half cuts please), Stamped Images and sentiments (clear impressions  and with enough margin to cut and use it somewhere) and any other embellishment in decent condition.

5. Please dont send any unfinished projects ....

6. The size of envelop in which one can fit all of these things and send across should be 5"X7".

7. Just to avoid unpleasantness during the swap and not to hurt anyone's feelings....kindly click a photograph of what you are sending to others and what you are receiving from others....In case of any complaints we may want to fall back on those photographs!!!

8. Last Date of Registration is 17th March

9. The Partner names will be sent to you by email by 20th March

10. The packages should be dispatched to the respective partners before or on 3rd April

Please ensure that they are scraps and not bits of paper or embellishment etc that you may have forgotten to throw away into the dustbin!!! Plus its a swap....if you would not want to receive something do not send it across either!!! Sorry if I sound rude but sometimes such things do happen and its only to make the swap more enriching for all :) !!!

Where did the idea germinate:

A casual chat on BBM with my crafter friends Tejal Mehta Shah and Khushboo Rathi made us realise that we all had gotten bored of our scraps and some have been there with us since ages....and that we needed some change as we never finished them ever but more and more got added to them with every project that we did ....so thats when we decided that maybe a swap could help us !!! So here it is finally .....

Please spread the word around .....

ISICR2

This is the second month of the Indian Scrappers ISICR2 at Indian Craft Room and here is  my entry for the challenge.....

Have Hidden the Photograph inside the framed flower shaped envelope and given it a look of a house by adding punched borders....the tags are hidden behind and can be pulled out by the ribbons that are attached to it....

The Inside view....and still enough space to add more journalling for the couple ...

Hope you guys like it ....do leave your comments and feedbacks !!!

JAN 12 ATC

This was my first time with ATCs at the Indian Craft Room and the theme was Fairytale Magic ....ooooooo isn't it and must say some real creative stuff have been done on that theme...all there in the gallery....

I received only one ATC, and guess the second one was lost on the way.....never mind the one I received was beautiful and simple ....simplicity attracts me the most and must say this one really touched my heart.....this is sent by Asmita Pandya....

Now for what I did with the theme ....

This is inspired by the story of Cinderella !!!! So you see a Fairy God Mother though mine looks a lil young and modern ...hehehhe....and a heart with wings and star etc as ultimately it was love ...love in the heart of Prince Charming that finally changed Cinderella's luck....and for those lucky shoes that helped the Charming Prince find his dream girl.....have a look at the inside :)

yess ....so that completes the Cinderella story with no Cinderella or Prince around...hehehhe....

And my second ATC was a general one with the Mermaid Theme.....

Though the Castle has been printed out and then colored ...the fishes are hand drawn and then hand cut.....phew....they were really tiny and difficult to cut....but somehow managed ...

Both the Fairy and the Mermaid have been handmade with wires, felt, plastic flower, wool and some shiny fabric.....

Thanks for visiting and please let me know what you feel.....it helps me grow and improve !!!!

ISICR1

Hmmm this is the first challenge on Indian Craft Room related to scrapbooking...and am so excited about this year long series!!!! It surely is a creativity booster to me....

I recently made a "First Anniversary" Album and as I had guessed that I would not find time separately for the challenge thanks to the orders, I decided to try it on one of the pages. So here is something which I wanna enter for the ISICR1 ...a page from the album.....

I didnt wanna use a readymade swirl or make it with a signo or sparkle glue so I thot I could design the leaves in the form of a swirl and I was satisfied with the effect

The rest of the album pages are available to view on my FB page Scrap Your Idea under the photo album "Custom Orders".....

C ya till my next blog
